Homemade dog shampoo can be a cost effective and easy way to keep your dog clean.   A clean pet and at an affordable price?  Sounds great, right?  The best part is that you will know exactly what is going into your pooch’s suds.

Many recipes out there use vinegar to help lower the pH level.   The overuse of vinegar however can cause irritation.  This recipe eliminates vinegar and calls for a very gentle dish soap.  Gentle dish soaps typically have the pH level that will work for a dog shampoo.

Homemade Dog Shampoo Without Vinegar Recipe:

Ingredients:

1 cup water

1 tsp aloe vera gel

1 tsp gentle dish soap (I recommend organic if possible)

1 tsp olive oil

Combine ingredients in a bottle.  Close the top of the bottle and give it a few shakes.  You are ready to wash your dog!
