Global Pet Expo Wrap Up and Award Winners

Last Wednesday night, my husband and I loaded our son, a dozen horribly packed bags of clothes/supplies and far too much Taco Bus into our car and headed to Orlando.  Our mission over the next two days was to enjoy every bit of Global Pet Expo 2013 which was held at the enormous Orange County Convention Center.  And yes, have one night baby and doggy free.  (Baby stayed with my in-laws who reside in Orlando).

Thursday morning, we bid adieu to my very prepared in-laws, barrel laughing son and were trade show bound.  Our goal was to find great new products to share with you.  And that we did!!

We ran into old friends like the awesome ladies from Natura Pet Products, my very first staff member, Jess and of course our hometown peeps, the ladies from Your Dog’s Diner.  We also helped raise money for a pet rescue in Orlando by paying for kisses from Laila!  She was at the National Animal Supplement Council’s Booth with her mom Amy Summers.

We learned about newer supplements on the market like those from Silver Lining Herbs who have been in the horse supplement world for years and launched their dog supplement line just about a year and a half ago.

When it comes to new shampoo…well we loved Mutt Nose Best!  And how about a remote Train ‘n Praise potty system by PetSafe?  So cool!

After over seven hours of walking up and down 42 aisles all day and I swear the length of the space was at least two football fields…we sat down for dinner.

Afterwards Pack Moms, although we had no kids or dogs, we stayed up into the wee hours pouring over websites, product information and developed our list of “Best of.”

That is a wrap!  Did I tell you that I celebrated my bday at the trade show and wore heals the entire time!  Crazy!!  But wouldn’t have it any other way.
