About Tamsen

Tamsen currently anchors the 5pm and 10pm evening news for WPIX-TV in New York City.  She has the amazing opportunity to interview newsmakers of our time and Hollywood actors who come to town when their movies open.  For all of you Broadway lovers out there, Tamsen had her Broadway debut in Chicago and followed that with on stage debuts in Rock of Ages and In the Heights.

She is not only a successful career woman, but Tamsen spends time giving back to her community, specifically in two areas:  Breast Cancer Research and Animal Rescue.

Q&A with Tamsen

PM:  Who’s in your pack?

Tamsen:  Matsen is the blonde in our pack. He is feisty but fun. He’s the lap dog who needs lots of attention.

Parker is our resident brunette who is always smiling. He is the sweet Chihuahua who loves to lick!

PM:  What are your favorite pack activities:

Tamsen:  Central Park – Spring, Fall, Summer or Winter!

PM:  What is in their bowl?

Tamsen:  Stella and Chewies – lamb is one of their favorite meals. Healthy Extension is also good on occasion.

Texas Toothpicks are a must.

PM:  What is in your purse right now?

Tamsen:

Iphone.

Lots of makeup (for work)

My journal (just started carrying one this year – I’m going old school for 2013)

My flat iron – I have horribly curly hair!

My constant supply of to-do lists.

My Mac Air – cannot leave home with it!

PM:  What is on your Ipod/Ipad?

Tamsen:

Les Miserables (the movie just came out)

Crosy, Stills and Nash (yes! I grew up in Texas)

PM:  How do you balance it all?

Tamsen:  I am a firm believer in organization. I lay out my clothes the night before. I always have a plan for the next day and carry around a list. If I can get 30 percent done from my list, it’s a success.  I don’t know how to get things done if I don’t have  a lot to do!

PM:  Any words of wisdom for other pack moms?

Tamsen:  Someone once told me that that not all the balls you are juggling are glass, so if you drop one, it always bounces back up again.
